Fantasy Football Draft Recap: LeBron League 2.0

And we back! As usual its been awhile. There wasn't much I really wanted to write about. That's changing now though. The summer had some nice ebbs and flows to it. NBA Free agency was better than most of the 2017 playoffs. I haven't paid much attention to baseball. I'm a Tigers fan and they've been unwatchable this season. I watch Aaron Judge every chance I get though. That's not what this post is about. I love fantasy football. I don't remember the first year I played. I just know it was when LaDainian Tomlinson was a monster. So that could have been a lot of years. I only say that to establish I liked it before it was cool. It also might be because I am a Browns fan so I need a reason to watch football aside from them. Fantasy football is great because it combines real life football with Madden football in the sense that one can build the team they want to see. It also has some gambling elements in that we have no control over how our team plays aside from putting the right players into the lineup. What I am saying is that fantasy football is at its core supposed to be fun. Yeah winning is the ultimate goal. It should be the goal. Enjoy it when it comes out good and when it comes out not so good.

On Sunday night we had the draft for the LeBron fantasy football league. No, LeBron is not in the league. No, it has nothing to do with basketball. Why is it named the LeBron fantasy league?

Now that I have that joke out of the way. We are starting over. What was a keeper league for a few seasons is no more. It will be a league where you can keep three players but this season everyone is available to be picked. Some (most) members are here while others have departed. There are a few typical questions I have going into this draft. First, who's going first? Will it be Le'Veon Bell, David Johnson or one of the top tier WRs? Second, who will be the first person to make an awful pick in one of the first two rounds? I feel like that happens every year. Third, is a hot dog a sandwich? No. Fourth, will Dan Janning keep his team name of Blue Sea UnPackers, which is by far the worst team name I've ever heard regardless of sport. Whose mans is this:

Let's get into the teams!

We will be starting with our faithful commissioner, Austin Nader - Lil Weeb

My Thoughts: Well, your team name and picture is an L. No doubt. You had the 2nd pick so you couldn't go wrong with David Johnson or with Le'Veon Bell. Running back is the clear strength with your team with Bell, Jordan Howard and Lamar Miller in your starting lineup. Since RB is your strength a big weakness is your wide outs. Larry Fitzgerald is a great number 2 WR, and Emmanuel Sanders is a great number 3. But with the way they were drafted they are billed to be your top 2 guys. I think that will be your best issue week-to-week. Matt Ryan is a starting QB but there's only like a four % chance he has the same kind of numbers he had last year as an MVP. Kelvin Benjamin has the upside to be a good player for you. There's the chance though his number will be cut into by the guys they drafted in Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel. I don't think the Baltimore offense will be all that great so I personally wouldn't take Mike Wallace and Terrance West. I also watched West in Cleveland and I didn't exactly shed a tear when we moved on from him.

Marcus Mariota can be a starter most weeks but I doubt there's a time you'll play him over Ryan unless there's an injury. Jacquizz will be a nice player the first few weeks of the season. He has the chance to win that job while Doug Martin is suspended. Marquise Lee is kind of whatever in the Jacksonville offense. Not to mention Blake Bortles is, well, bad at playing quarterback. I typed in Blake Bortles sucks into Google and this is what popped up

Grade: B-; I would try to move one of those top RB's you have for a good WR

Next we have Josh Bohn

My Thoughts: Anyone who actually knows me knows my thoughts about Dak Prescott. Regardless he just won't have as good a season as he had as a rookie. Zeke being out the first six weeks hurts, duh. Good top two backs with Marshawn Lynch and Devonta Freeman. They should be top 15 guys all year unless Lynch gets the need to go do this again:

Good WR's with Michael Thomas and Demaryius Thomas. CJ Anderson is okay as a flex that's probably good value for him now. Greg Olsen should be a top 5 TE. This isn't a PPR league should i wouldn't want any part in Danny Woodhead. He hasn't been healthy for a while, too. Willie Snead is good upside since you also have M. Thomas. Corey Coleman very well could be the best pass catcher in Cleveland. Do you want to put all your eggs in the Kenny Britt is going to keep being good? I know I don't. Tyrod Taylor is probably not a starter in a ten team league except for bye weeks. John Brown has upside. Latavius Murray's days have been numbered since before the ink dried on his deal. Is this finally the year Eric Ebron has a breakout season. Probably not.

Grade: B-

Next We have Joe Zamfino

My Thoughts: Team name:

Having Tom Brady as your QB is never a bad thing. And getting him in the fourth round isn't bad value either. Your running backs are spotty though. I think Dalvin Cook can be really good. He's already better than Murray, but who knows if they will give him enough of the workload. Plus that Offensive line is one of the worst in the league. Great wide outs though with Mike Evans and Jordy Nelson. Both are top 10 guys. Jordan Reed is an awesome tight end. His middle name can be actually be, "if healthy" at this point of his career.

Jamison Crowder is poised for a nice season in D.C. Jeremy Maclin should be better than he was last season. I still don't want to have any part in the Ravens offense. Donte Moncrief can be great in a pinch. I'm scared of the Colts offense though. Andrew Luck still hasn't thrown the ball and the line keeps getting worse. Jordan Matthews just got traded and is already hurt. Samaje Perine has already gotten a lot of talk and he could take the starting job from this guy soon. Rex Burkhead could be the guy in New England. Will you know which weeks to start him? Unless a bunch of guys get hurt then probably not. Kenny Stills will be a better actual WR than he will for fantasy.

Grade: B

Next we've got Andre

My Thoughts: team name:

I really like a lot of pieces on this team. Russell Wilson is healthy this season after an early injury limited his 2016 season. Melvin Gordon is now a top 10 back after not scoring a touchdown as a rookie. I might be a tad biased on Isaiah Crowell. I think he's a quality back though. He probably will never make you go, "WOW!" But that's alright. Julio Jones is a monster. You know this. Allen Robinson could be close to a monster if this clown isn't his quarterback.  Jimmy Graham is a really good option at TE. Hyde in the flex is great considering I think he could be an RB 2 kind of player if used correctly this year. Tyreek Hill is good. He is fast. Can he learn how to do the other things in football? I think yes.

DeVante Parker is a little like Eric Ebron in that every season people are saying this will be the year for him. Duke Johnson is better in PPR but since you have Crowell it makes more sense if Crowell gets hurt. Cameron Meredith is okay. Who's throwing him the ball? Mike Glennon? Mitch Trubisky? I think I'll pass. Derrick Henry is a good stash guy if DeMarrco Murray gets hurt or if they decide to not give him the ball every time they want to run it. I wish Kenny Britt wasn't on my favorite team. DeAndre Washington could have some value if Lynch doesn't regain his Beast Mode form.

Grade: B+

Next is Danny, Oh boy

My Thoughts:  Any guess what your team name grade is? What? You don't know? Well guess what:

Yeah, it's actually worse than the people who didn't change their name yet. Why you might ask? I don't have the slightest clue what this means. Like actually none. No one on your team is named Lincoln. Like not even almost. Why are you the way that you are? I'm actually asking you. Ugh, whatever. Anyway, Derek Carr should be a good player most of the season. Jay Ajayi had a couple awesome games last year. He had many more not so awesome games last year. Joe Mixon might not get all the work with Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill still in town. Plus they already extended Bernard. Awesome wide outs with Antonio Brown and Brandin Cooks. I don't know if Cooks can have awesome numbers with so many other good players in New England. Martellus Bennett isn't someone I want as my TE. Aaron Rodgers might be an great QB but he doesn't always look for the TE.

Davante Adams is good when you think he will be bad and bad when you think he'll be good. He ruined so many seasons the year Jordy Nelson was hurt. Jarvis Landry is a good WR. He's better in PPR though. Like I said for Berkhead will Mike GIllislee get the work to be a good fantasy running back? I'll never be sure. Rob Kelley's days are numbered already, in D.C. Corey Davis is a good guy to have on the bench because he can become the top pass catcher with Tennessee. I've seen Corey Davis in person and you could tell he was a special kind of player. It might have been against BG's awful defense, but still. Rishard Matthews is okay, I guess. Same goes for Adam Thielen. I guess if you must have a backup QB Philip Rivers isn't the worst one for you to have. Why? Because you also have Carr. I personally wouldn't start whichever one is going against Denver, and they can't both be playing Denver the same week.

Grade: C-; I dropped you a letter grade because of how stupid your team name is. It still upsets me.

Next we got Kevin Zamfino

My Thoughts: You know where I am going with his name:

Pretty good team here for Kevin. At least off the top. Drew Brees remains a top 5 QB. David Johnson is the number one pick in my eyes without a doubt. If Leonard Fournette can ever string some healthy games together he should be at least a top 15 RB. Well it is apparently easy for him.  Amari Cooper will be a top wide out this year. I think this is finally the season Michael Crabtree stop stealing touchdowns from him. Golden Tate is eh. I don't see any reason to have both Delanie Walker and Tyler Eifert on your team. I think they compliment each other well though. Walker is Mr. Consistent while Eifert is boom or bust. I just think there's better ways to construct your lineup.

Bilal Powell is a fine player. I want no part in the Jets offense. This is probably their starting QB.  I was fooled by Ameer Abdullah before and that won't happen again. Jonathan Stewart has more value than you think he does. He could if nothing else be the goal line back. This should tell you exactly what you need to know about Ted Ginn. (I probably made that joke last year) Marvin Jones is blah; he doesn't have much upside. There's no need to have Matt Stafford on your bench.

Grade: C+, only way he has a good season is if Johnson and Fournette carry him. There's a chance that happens.

Next we have Brian Dailey

My Thoughts: I think it's a two way race right now for who has the best name. I haven't gotten to the other one quite yet. Good starting lineup. Jameis Winston might be undervalued but I think he's just outside a top 10 QB. He's gonna be a low end QB 1 and a high end QB 2. Christian McCaffrey will be a much better real life player than a stud in standard leagues. In PPR he's much better. Will this finally be the year Frank Gore stops being productive? Probably. AJ Green and Dez Bryant as your wide outs and DeAndre Hopkins in the flex? I mean heck the man wore Yeezy cleats during a game:

That's really good. Green has continued to be great. Bryant will get an uptick at least when Zeke isn't in the lineup. Ideally the Cowboys don't need to throw the ball to him as much as he might on a team that doesn't have the offensive line the Cowboys do. Kyle Rudolph is an alright TE. He gets the job done. I've had Spencer Ware basically since he got the job in KC. Tevin Coleman might actually be your number two RB. Just like he's the second guy in his own backfield. Jeremy Hill very well could have value. He's had value before. Tyrell Williams could be a good guy to have on the bench too. We have no idea what to expect from Josh Doctson. He was hurt all of last season. There's actually no need to have Jason Witten on your bench. He will be on the waiver wire if you really want him. Cole Beasley also doesn't have the value he would in a PPR league in a standard league.

Grade: B

Next we have Ben Thomas

My Thoughts: Broooooo

There's a really good chance the Cam Newton that won MVP will never come back. He might be a good NFL QB, but I'm not sure he ever becomes a great fantasy QB again. Nice stable of running backs between LeSean McCoy, DeMarco Murray and Ty Montgomery. McCoy and Murray are top 12 RBs. Montgomery with his first full season as a running back should be improved a lot. And he made strides last year. Doug Baldwin is fine. He somehow manages to be the leading pass catcher in Seattle and has a couple amazing games each season. Like I said earlier this is the season Crabtree takes a step down. Travis Kelce could very well be the top tight end this season. That entirely depends on the health of Rob Gronkowski.

Julian Edelman is probably most hurt by the addition of Brandin Cooks. He's not a guy who scores a lot of touchdowns. I don't think he's a guy I'd be starting in a standard league aside from injuries and bye weeks. Sammy Watkins went from having top 15 potentially to more of a question mark with the trade from Buffalo to LA. I have no idea what to expect, and that's if I assume he will be healthy. I don't assume he will be healthy. Eric Decker has a decent floor with limited upside. Doug Martin could be good. That won't be until week seven at the earliest. He's suspended the first three games of the year, and he's always a guy that struggles to get going. Darren Sproles and Gio Bernard are both better upsides plays in PPR.

Grade: C-

Next we have Jon Oh

My Thoughts: Our other contender for best name. And is it too easy to make this joke?

Oh well. He's still a stud. Plus he was drafted after Brady! Here's where you messed up. I don't know if Adrian Peterson becomes the starter for the Saints. He could. He just as easily could not. I make the same joke about LeGarrette Blount every year and I don't care at all.

T.Y. Hilton is a great player. I already went into why I don't want anyone from the Colts offense. Alshon Jeffery could be a nice player with the Eagles. I don't have confidence he will stay healthy. Gronk is Gronk. If he's healthy he's the best in the league. Brandon Marshall could have a nice season as the number two guy with the Giants. Does anyone have confidence in Eddie Lacy? Does Eddie Lacy have confidence in Eddie Lacy. Nah. Pierre Garcon is done. Randall Cobb hasn't been good for a couple years. I've owned him; I know what he's done. Matt Forte is done. Andrew Luck may not start the season under center. And even if he does get on the field I don't think the offensive line will block enough to keep him up right. Sterling Shepard could be good but Marshall takes some of his work. Jamaal Charles fits in the same category as Matt Forte.

Grade: D+

Next we have, well, me

What was I thinking: If you're a Marvel fan you know exactly what I was thinking with my team name. I am a guy that waits on quarterback most of the time and I got Kirk, don't call me Kurt, Cousins. Like I wrote closer to the start of the piece we will be able to keep three players off your team. That influenced my early round picks. I went with Odell Beckham instead of Antonio Brown at pick three. Yeah Antonio Brown is amazing and won't slow down for at least a couple more years, but Odell is 25. Yes, I know he sprained his ankle  They will allow him time to recover. I wanted to make sure I got Ezekiel Elliott. I didn't care that I reached a little and took him in the second round. I was able to get Darren McFadden at pretty good value in the 8th round. Terrelle Pryor was so much fun to watch last year. I've seen so much of him between his time at Ohio State and last season with the Browns. I think Kirk Cousins will enjoy being able to throw to him for a year before he goes to San Francisco.

I was happy about getting Keenan Allen because I almost took him over Pryor. If he stays healthy, which is a big if, he's a top 15 wide out. Stefon Diggs is the top pass catcher for Sammie Check Down.  If Martavis Bryant doesn't do anything stupid. Again, a big if, he is a top 20 wide out even if Antonio Brown stays productive and healthy. Check out what he did when he actually stayed on the field  I think I got good value with Hunter Henry. His numbers were actually really good last season, and the Chargers admitted they were still force feeding the ball to Antonio Gates. It hurts me a little bit to take Kareem Hurt since he went to Toledo. He's another guy I've been able to see a lot of. I watched him as a true freshman wipe the floor with the Bowling Green Defense that allowed around one touchdown a game. If he becomes the lead running back in an Andy Reid Offense he will be a top 20 RB. Remember when I said I don't trust Eddie Lacy? That's why I snagged Thomas Rawls. Remember when I talked about the Saints RB situation? That's why I took Alvin Kamara. Zay Jones might be the top pass catcher in Buffalo from week one with Sammie Watkins gone.

I'm taking a lot of chances on rookies and guys who may not get to see the field often. It's more fun if you don't know what's gonna happen, right?

Can week one start already?

As always, thanks for reading!

2017 NBA Draft, Draft Diary: Volume One

(Quick Note if you've never read a piece like this. I started writing this at around 7:15 the night of the draft and it should be published at some point on Friday. It is my live reaction while watching the 2017 NBA Draft on ESPN) I hope you enjoy!

Well we are finally here! The NBA Draft is upon us. The first thing I see as I start watching is who else but LaVar and Lonzo Ball. Hopefully, I don't have to devout too much time to writing about Big Baller Brand tonight. People have said this draft will be the best we've seen in quite sometime. If anyone said that about what is now known as 'the Anthony Bennett draft' they shouldn't be allowed to cover the event. I haven't been able to watch the draft as it happens in a few years because I was away doing summer broadcasting internships. So to say I am ready to hear Jay Bilas say, "Wingspan." a bunch of times tonight would be a massive understatement.

7:30 EST - Welcome into the 2017 NBA Draft, Draft Diary: Volume One! It's been a long day already. I was at work for a little bit before I had to get work done on my car, work on myself, and drive over to Toledo and pick up my Tuxedo for my friend Collin's wedding this Saturday. Am I ready for the draft? Absolutely. I just smashed on some Chipotle in about 7-8 minutes; so that should be enough to get me through the rest of the night.

7:35 - "These young men here tonight represent the future of our league." One of the first things said by NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver. He then said who's gonna be the next 'insert star/superstar' here. Kind of cheesy. And by kind of cheesy I mean super cheesy. The next LeBron isn't in this draft. The next Kyrie Irving isn't in this draft, either. I don't really need to go down this road.

7:39 - About two and a half minutes until the clock runs down and the Philadelphia 76ers take Markelle Fultz. Did Rece Davis just compare him to LaRue Martin? I am not that ridiculous level of NBA aficionado, but to have it make sense to people who've never heard of LaRue Martin; he was basically a Kwame Brown who didn't find a way to become a crappy NBA Veteran. I think Martin only played four years in the league. Never forget, Kwame Brown, as said by Stephen A. Smith.

7:40 - 76ers officially take Fultz. All-Time number one picks for the 76ers list is now Fultz, Ben Simmons, Allen Iverson and Doug Collins. We don't know much yet about the first two names but A.I. was a guy who changed the league in multiple ways, and Doug Collins was hampered by injuries before becoming the coach and analyst we know him as today. Like so many other people I haven't seen much of Fultz in live games. YouTube helps.

7:47 - Lakers take Lonzo Ball. Is anyone shocked yet? No? I didn't think so. We'll get some more shocking stuff later. Well maybe, at least. I loved watching Ball at UCLA last year. Do I care that he doesn't shoot mid-range? No. Teams have been getting away from that style over the last handful of years anyway. He can shoot threes from deep. I think he gets his shot changed. Maybe not a complete change, but it'll need to be tweaked to help him out down the road.

7:51 - "I got it made (purple and gold BBB hat) when he was a baby." LaVar, stop it.

e4a829e2-502a-42d4-898f-f3169442026b-bestSizeAvailable.png (620×372)

7:53 - Jimmy Butler gets traded to the T- Wolves for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn, the 7th pick what?!?!? The Wolves now have the number 16 pick. That's huge and actually a pretty good deal for both sides. Well, by good deal for the Bulls I mean trash. Aside from already giving up on Dunn. They now have a starting five of Ricky Rubio, Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng. Only one really weak spot. They should be a contender next season without a doubt. Cut to Bulls fans looking at their front office like:

1ab2699358d426f7a226f0.22661491_edit_img_facebook_post_image_file_43346330_1490297282.jpg (1200×630)

7:54 - Boston takes Jayson Tatum at three. Again, not a shock there. Jimmy Butler just got traded to Minnesota! I'm still surprised about it! I haven't truly loved a Duke Product since (and actually the only one I liked in the moment) Jabari Parker. Tatum seems to be pretty dang close to what Parker's offense was when he was coming out of school. I think we only see flashes of him this year simply because he won't have a chance to score as much. You know, Isaiah Thomas might have the ball a tad too often. Nice pick for the Celtics. Will they regret making the trade? Only time will tell.

8:01 - The Suns take Josh Jackson at four. Rock chalk, not only for Jackson, but for how the draft board has been thus far. Jackson was fun to watch at Kansas last year. Playing alongside Frank Mason III. He took some of the pressure off of Jackson for stretches throughout the year. Jackson had some streaky shooting games and when those happen he is impossible to guard. He can attack the rim. He's a good defender without having a crazy wingspan. Am I nuts or have I not heard Bilas say wingspan yet? Either way, it's a good thing I'm not playing the drinking game for that tonight.

8:06 - The Footlocker Ad with the some of the prospects plays. Still the best line is, "And fishing. We went fishing a lot." Nice delivery, Jayson Tatum.

8:08 - The Kings take De'Aaron Fox. Also known as the guard who destroyed Lonzo Ball in Lonzo's last college game. He is also the guy who cried after the lost to North Carolina in his last game. I want to issue an apology to Fox, though. The Kings ruin everyone. Boogie might have a better attitude and cry a lot less if the Kings didn't take him. I still believe in you, Boogie. If Fox gets a jumper he will be deadly. Josh Jackson shot better in college, but Fox has a better release even though he didn't shoot very well in college. Fox seems like a really good guy. I feel like he cares a lot. Some of the other guys didn't get as emotional, for whatever that's worth. Hopefully, the Kings don't waste you.

8:12 - Why did I become a Magic fan, again? I'm scared. The first five went how we thought they would. They will mess this up, right? They have to. We rented Serge Ibaka for absolutely no reason. Ugh, don't make me scream. I do like who we put in the front office. John Hammond was my number one choice when the rumors started to swirl. Four picks in the top 35 tonight. What could go wrong?

8:14 - The Magic take Jonathan Isaac out of Florida State. That seems like the right pick? I think so. I was telling my good friend Phil that we needed basically everything. He's listed as a 6'10 small forward. Jalen Rose says he reminds him of Andrei Kirilenko also known as AK-47. That's nice to have but CAN WE GET SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY SHOOT THE BALL. Hopefully Isaac can. He seems to have a nice shot. Do we have a shooter outside of Evan Fournier? I still might scream.

8:21 - The Timberwolves take Lauri Markkanen at number seven. Except the Bulls are actually getting Markkanen because of the Jimmy Butler trade. Can we finally stop this complete charade of the team picking someone when he's already going to a different team? I don't need to see Markkanen in a Timberwolves hat for three minutes. According to Bilas, the Finnish base your speeding tickets on your income. Yeah, I think his tickets might go up a little bit. Markkanen can clearly shoot the heck out of the ball. Especially when you consider that his a seven footer. But that's really all he does well. He's not much of a defender or rebounder. He's more Channing Frye to me than Kristaps Porzingis. He can be a little better though. Can we laugh a little more about Chicago in this draft as well as trading up for Mitch Trubisky in the NFL Draft? You had the Cubs win a World Series. You'll be okay. I'm still laughing though.

8:26 - The New York DumpsterFires, I mean Knicks, take Frank Ntilikina the point guard out of France. I could talk about their crap for way too long. Anyway Ntilikina sure seems like the correct pick for the Knicks. I definitely heard Bilas say wingspan for this guy. He has some crazy wingspan for a guard. Fran Fraschilla said he's not quite a one and not quite a two. So, if I read between the lines, he isn't very good at either spot. The French league he comes from has produced some solid NBA players. My doubt for this guy is mostly due to the fact he's wearing a Knicks hat and Phil Jackson is still in charge. Hahahaha. At least the Orlando Magic President of Basketball Operations wasn't falling asleep at workouts.

8:33 - The Mavericks take Dennis Smith Jr. out of NC State at pick nine. NC State sucked so much last year they fired their coach in the middle of the season. I don't know how good he will be. He was highly ranked out of high school and then had an injury to deal with. He was still good enough to be the ACC Freshman of the year. He has a 48 inch vertical! How is that a thing a human can do? I have a feeling he will be in a dunk contest within the next few seasons. A quick reminder that this draft has still mostly been what we expected. Outside, again, the Jimmy Butler trade.

8:39 - The Kings trade down from 10 with the Portland Trail Blazers for picks 15 and 20. They take Zach Collins out of Gonzaga. The Kings are doing smart things so far tonight, or am I going crazy? Good chance for both. Watching Collins this year I didn't think that he was anything special. His story has been about being overlooked since he was in high school. Maybe there's a reason he has been so overlooked. If he is better than Myers Leonard than I guess it's a nice pick for the Blazers. I just don't really see it with Collins.

8:43 -  In my calmest voice possible: HOW IS MALIK MONK STILL ON THE BOARD. Oh, yeah, the Kings could have just taken Monk and had last seasons Kentucky guards. Only Sacramento.

8:45 - The Charlotte Hornets are gonna take Monk now, right? He has officially slipped too far. He dropped, what, like 47 on North Carolina?

8:47 - The Hornets do take Monk. It is downright nuts how many great guys Kentucky has put in the league. And even the guys that don't pan out have been taken in the first round of the draft. Monk's worst case in the league is a kind of crappy version of Jamal Crawford. He has definite potential as a defender as well. Kemba Walker and Malik Monk is a kind of small backcourt, but so is Damian Lillard and CJ Mccollum. Neither of those duos might win a title as they are currently put together. That doesn't make them any less fun to watch.

8:52 - The Pistons take Luke Kennard at 12. Insert the comparison to Chris Mullen and/or JJ Redick. He's probably one of the most likeable white guys from Duke since... (racks my brain) I don't recall other likeable white guys from Duke. They're usually portrayed as the villian. Playing with Grayson Allen probably helped Kennard in that regard.

8:58 - The Nuggets go grab Donovan Mitchell from Louisville but he is going to Utah for the 24th pick and Trey "formerly known as Mamba" Lyles. He's a legend in his own mind. Isn't it a little awkward to ask Mitchell about the Jazz while he's in a Nuggets hat? Gosh, that is dumb. I don't know much about Mitchell. Oh, and how the f*ck is Rick Pitino still the coach there. Please keep telling me how the NCAA is all about the education and students and doing the right thing.
080ac603ae44426d433f90c8a10fd650.jpg (600×632)

9:05 - The Heat take Bam Adebayo at 14. Isn't he a worse version of Hassan Whiteside. I hope those gamblers took the over on the 2.5 of Kentucky players going in the first round. Always take the over on Kentucky guys getting drafted. Bam was fun at Kentucky with the role he had. Players in the NBA from there can stay in that mold when they get to the league (Anthony Davis) or they show their true skill set and show how much better they are then when they were wearing the Big Blue (Devin Booker and KAT) He should stay in that mold.

9:06 - The guys on the set make fun of Jalen Rose's draft day suit for about the 4th time. We also got a stay in your lane line from Bilas to Rece Davis. Some of the jokes have been a little forced, but this one seemed fine.

9:12 - At 15, the Blazers pick for the Kings and take Justin Jackson from North Carolina. The Kings now have Fox, Buddy Hield, and Justin Jackson. We know what Jackson is. I think he is a nice fit with the Kings, but they could've had Monk.

9:16 - Jimmy Butler is in Paris right now. Good for you, Jimmy.

9:17 - Now we are half way through round one. I haven't wrote this much without taking a long break since writing my final college paper. I think I got an A on it.

9:18 - The Bulls take Justin Patton at 16 but that pick is for Minnesota with the Jimmy Butler trade. This is the probable replacement for Dieng down the road. He is another guy I haven't seen much of. I like this pick. I've liked most of the picks though, right? Well let's hope this is as good a draft as people have said. Minnesota stays winning in this deal.

9:23 - Now here's ESPN giving Kentucky a stage to say, "Hey, I send people to the NBA every year. Come play for me." Just for everyone that has missed what Kentucky the last handful of years.

9:25 - I know he hasn't been picked yet, but why is Harry Giles an NBA Prospect? He has been hurt the last two years and couldn't get off the bench at Duke. Don't waste a pick on him.

9:26 - Orlando is gonna take Giles since I said that, aren't they?
6358386853629940471329619173_stanley office.jpg (1186×668)

9:28 - Milwaukee takes D.J. Wilson from Michigan. He if nothing else fits the description of most of the Bucks. He's long and athletic. He's another guy that didn't stand out to me all that much when I watched him the few times I did. Seems like the right pick though for the Bucks.

9:32 - The Pacers pick TJ Leaf at 18. I really like this pick. You put him next to Myles Turner and that's at the least a good offense in the front court. I remember watching him especially when he played against Ohio State early in the season. I was really impressed with him. I knew about Ball and about Bryce Alford, but Leaf really showed me a lot not just in that game but throughout the year. Why do you need to ask Leaf about Lonzo? You think he's gonna throw him under the bus or something? They made each other better without a doubt. I hope Leaf is a good pro.

9:37 - The Atlanta Hawks take John Collins from Wake Forest. Could this be a sign they will let Paul Millsap walk this summer, or is it a sign they have the successor and they want Millsap to tutor him? A big knock on him was on his defense. Did you guys see who else was on this man's team? He had to carry them on offense. Do you want him to go all out on defense too? (ideally yes) I think there was the understanding of stay out of foul trouble and save it for offense.

9:40 - Teams are getting better at drafting. I know not all of these picks will pan out but it sure seems like teams are being smart with their picks to fill voids and they are also the right pick at the right time.

9:42 - How do we not know who won the league MVP, yet? Who decided on that stupid idea for an awards show. It's been wayyyyyy too long.

9:43 - The Kings messed up, again! I knew it was only a matter of time. They take Harry Giles at 20. I don't care if he was the top recruit in 2016. He has already went through two ACL injuries. The broadcasters on ESPN are saying how nice of a kid he is. That might be true but I don't think he ever has a relevant NBA moment.

9:50 - The Thunder are up, no not Thunder UP.
d80df136e3bed8856d9a6bd07499521f.jpg (3300×2550)

They take Terrance Ferguson. He took a route similar to the Brandon Jennings path. Except he played in Australia! He's the first American to do that. Seems like the perfect fit for the Thunder and that also makes Andre Roberson expendable, right? This guy can actually shoot. Roberson couldn't hit water if he fell off a boat. Was that too easy of a joke?
usa-today-8123749.0.0.jpg (3600×2400)

9:53 - The Brooklyn Nets are on the clock and as Jalen so eloquently put it they need everything. I agree.

9:56 - The Nets take Jarrett Allen from Texas at pick 22. I like the fro more than the pick but I like the fro a lot. They just traded away Brook Lopez for D'angelo Russell so it's a natural fit to get a center. Allen is the biggest recruit Shaka Smart has got since he went to Texas. He got a couple guys from VCU into the league. Even if their stay wasn't for very long. I'm looking at you, Larry Sanders. The Nets are still going to be really bad next year. I'm not breaking any news with that take.

9:58 - Jay Bilas is trying to get so many people drunk right now.

9:59 - Bilas says, "Tip it back, people." Uber and Lyft are ways you can get home safe.

10:03 - The Raptors get OG Anunoby from Indiana at 23. If he doesn't get hurt he is probably a lottery pick. I don't know if he is scared out of his mind but he seemed pretty timid in that interview. At the least he is gonna be nice on defense. I think this signals that Kyle Lowry is gone. They are going into slight rebuild mode.

10:04 - Mini-Woj bomb. The Magic are trading their 35th overall pick to Memphis. I don't know what they are getting back for it. Don't mess it up, Orlando. (After a while it was reported they are getting a second round pick in 2019 from the Grizzles via the Nets)

10:09 - Markelle Fultz makes a Process joke. He is officially a 76er.

10:11 - Utah takes Tyler Lydon but that is actually going to Denver as a part of their trade from earlier on in the draft. Could be a nice shooter next to Jokic. Why didn't he enter the draft last year? He would've went higher than 24 last year especially coming off that Final Four year. Oh, crap. Now Orlando is on the clock. They're gonna mess it up. They're gonna take some foreign guy who sucks, right? (Gulp)

10:19 - I can't make this stuff up. I swear I already had all of that typed out. Andzejs Pasecniks is who Orlando grabs at 25. I like the country he's from. It's the same country the gave us this guy:
335fe17f40538a9985152e83a7b5eea9.jpg (640×663)

I hope I am wrong. Boy, oh, boy, do I hope I am wrong. People were wrong about Porzingis. Hopefully that will happen about this guy who's name I don't even want to try pronouncing.

10:22 - (Contamplating starting the Jay Bilas drinking game)

10:23 - (Deciding it's too late and I'm already too tired. People reading this are probably calling me soft)

10:24 - Caleb Swanigan! I loved watching this dude at Purdue. He goes to the Blazers at 26. If you don't know his story look it up it's worth reading. He had such a crazy life growing up. Lots of people said he should've stayed in school but he goes in the back end of the first round. Just adds to his story. Swanigan is without a doubt someone I am rooting for.

10:28 - I check twitter and see Orlando is trading that pick. What are we getting back?

10:31 - At pick 27 the Nets take Kyle Kuzma but this is what will go to the Lakers as a part of the Lopez-Russell trade. I know nothing about Kuzma. What is Orlando getting for the trades they are making? Woj, I know you've been working hard for weeks and months but come on. I need to know!

10:35 - This pick is going to Utah and the Lakers pick 30 and 42. They take Tony Bradley from UNC. Bradley joins a list of players from North Carolina to be a one-and-done that list also includes Marvin Williams and Branden Wright. Not the best list to be a part of.

10:38 - Finally finding out what Orlando is getting: a Philly 2020 First rounder and the worst of either Brooklyn or New York's second rounder that same year. I don't know how good Philly will be at that point in time but I am having a hard time thinking they will pick number one two years a row like we are seeing right now. ORLANDO:
1ab2699358d426f7a226f0.22661491_edit_img_facebook_post_image_file_43346330_1490297282.jpg (1200×630)

99.99% chance we will be back in the lottery next year. Yes, I had to use that meme twice.

10:44 - The Spurs take Derrick White at 29. Finally a senior gets taken! Is that the first one? Yes, it is!

10:47 - The Lakers snag Josh Hart at the end of the first round. Although, the Jazz technically picked the Big East player of the year.

10:48 - Jay Bilas makes a Bill Bradley joke no one under 40 can understand.

Bottom line -  The Process is soon going to be 'The Progress'. You know, since they are going to be competitive. If someone else starts saying 'The Progress' you heard it here first. LaVar-Lonzo got what LaVar wanted. I hope Jimmy Butler missed Tom Thibodeau. Malik Monk will be a stud. If you forgot what I said, well, scroll back up!

Actual bottom line -
I still don't know what the Magic are doing.

2017 NBA Finals Preview

Well, I mean, we all saw this coming, right?

For almost a full calendar year people have been waiting for this years' NBA Finals. From the moment Kevin Durant's Players' Tribune article came out people have been ready for the finals. As ready as we have been for the finals; did we really think the lead up would be this anti-climatic? Yeah the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards series went to seven. The Memphis Grizzles and San Antonio Spurs series gave us this:

We saw a sneak peak of what Giannis Antetokounmpo might be able to do for years to come. (I feel bad for the Milwaukee Bucks writers who have to write that name thousands of times a year)

Other than a couple individual performances I didn't include that's basically it. Plus, most of the great performances have been by players that we will see in the NBA Finals.

Let's analyze this as I do every year. I'll go by positions, but I'll jump around a bit.

Shooting guard:
Cavs - JR Smith
Warriors - Klay Thompson

JR Smith has been injured off and on all season long so it's hard to really judge him by this season. He has came back and been okay. He's averaged 6.5 PPG this post season as opposed to the 8.5 PPG he was at in his limited regular season action. We've seen him have some big moments since he starting wearing a Cavs Uniform so I won't look into the numbers too much.

It's been a different year for Klay Thompson for a whole different reason. With Durant coming in it has changed Thompson's offense a little bit. He has quietly turned into a really good defensive player over the last few seasons. But what has been going on with him in the playoffs? 22 PPG in the regular season versus 14.5 PPG in the postseason! The last time he had more than 20 points was in the final game against the Utah Jazz. Most people haven't mentioned Thompson's struggles because of how dominant the Warriors were all post-season. (Yes, I know Kawhi Leonard was hurt and they would've at the very least won a game. People down the road won't remember that though)
Anyway, Thompson has to bounce back in the finals for the Warriors to keep winning like they have been.

Advantage: Warriors

Power Forward:
Cavs - Kevin Love
Warriors - Draymond Green

This should be very intriguing. Both have been really good throughout the whole season. Kevin Love has had a couple offensive explosions this season. His numbers in the playoffs are almost a carbon copy of what he did in the regular season. This is easily the best lead up to the finals for Love since joining the team. His first season with the Cavs he was hurt by a man who A. has a man bun and B. will forever have a series clinching game named after him.

i (1296×729)

In his second season he wasn't playing very well and was on the bench for a lot of critical moments. This year everything is going well for him and I think he has a really good to great series.

Draymond Green isn't going to get himself suspended this year. He's not. Cavs fans (believe me I know plenty of them) hate Green and Steph Curry the most out of the Warriors. You can make all the jokes you want about the Deez Nuts guy, looking like the donkey from Shrek, and people actually forget about him getting 'hacked' often on Twitter. C/o :

All that stuff to the side Draymond is a great player. His impact on defense is unmatched by about 99% of the NBA. He had a triple-double without scoring being one of the stats he had 10+ in. And in the postseason he's been shooting 47%... from three. In the regular season he shot 31% from three which was the worst he's shot from there since his rookie year when he shot a Charles Barkley like percentage from three of 21%. Bottom line is if Draymond keeps shooting like that the Warriors will win the series.

Advantage: Ever so slight edge to the Warriors

Center:
Cavs - Tristan Thompson
Warriors - Zaza Pachulia

Beware of the Kardashian curse, Tristan. Please beware. Like K-Love, Thompson's numbers from the regular season have carried over to the postseason. The biggest difference for him has been that his free throw numbers are up from 50% to 67% in the playoffs. He should dominate whatever traditional big man the Warriors throw out there between Pachulia, McGee, and West.

Zaza, quit injuring people and quit doing this:

Advantage: Cavs

Benches:
Cavs - Deron Williams, Iman Shumpert, Kyle Korver, Richard Jefferson, James Jones, Channing Frye, Derrick Williams
Warriors - Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Ian Clark, Patrick McCaw, Javal McGee, Matt Barnes, David West

Signing Kevin Durant came at a cost to the bench unit the Warriors had the last two seasons. Iguodala isn't 100% healthy. Livingston will provide solid minutes but will not have a game like he did in game one of last years' finals. Ian Clark is alright. David West has given a new definition for the term, "ring chasing."
warriors-sign-david-west-contract.jpg (1300×724)sjm-warriors-03302.jpg (470×350)

JaVale McGee hasn't quite been the Shaqtin' a fool type player he was in his early days. He's turned his career around joining the Warriors.
For the Cavs, they've done a great job filling in their bench. If Bogut doesn't get hurt he gives him toughness down low and the Warriors knowledge, obviously. They have some guys that have been with the team a little while with Shumpert, Jefferson, and Jones. They added Frye last season and he played well last year in stretches. Picking up Deron Williams was a nice move for an aging veteran. Derrick Williams has bounced around and hasn't lived up to the billing of being a #2 pick in the draft. He's became a nice role guy when he gets enough minutes. And I haven't even mentioned Kyle Korver being added this year!

Advantage: Cavs

Coaches:
Cavs - Ty Lue
Warriors - Mike Brown (slight possibility Steve Kerr comes back)

Ty Lue has improved over the past year plus of being the Head Coach of the Cavs. Either way I have to go with Mike Brown. Yes, he's been fired by the Cavs. Twice. He was fired by the Lakers, too. For the most part he can just stay out of the way and the Warriors can succeed. He doesn't have to make too many rotation decisions. His only difficult choice is really about playing or not playing a traditional center. That choice should be made for him because he needs a center out there whenever Tristan Thompson is on the floor. And at the very least Brown does have plenty of experience and that plays into his favor too.

Advantage: Warriors

Small Forward:
Cavs - LeBron James
Warriors - Kevin Durant

Now we're cooking with gas. LeBron is incredible. This is his seventh straight NBA Finals. Oh and he dragged Larry Hughes, Eric Snow, Big Z and company to a finals appearance in 2007. Whether you love him or hate him there's no denying what he's done. He lived up to and surpassed the hype he had coming out of high school. Yeah this was a disaster:
lebron-james-the-decision.jpg (576×384)

But even that raised money for charity! It might not have been the best way to do it and all that, but his heart was unquestionably in the right place. Look for this man to keep playing how he has since turning it up a notch for every game but game three of the Eastern Conference Finals.
This is why you left OKC, Kevin Durant. This is why you left OKC. Durant left OKC for many reasons. This is confirmed by Russell Westbrook either winning the MVP or getting second. Did people ever stop to think maybe he wants to live in a state that isn't Oklahoma for the first time since his rookie year in Seattle. Personal reasons aside are you telling me you wouldn't want to play with the Warriors? In a vacuum playing with the Warriors just looks fun. He was a free agent. Maybe he could've given the Thunder a heads up. Maybe he could've texted Westbrook. Although Kendrick Perkins says they're talking now. Durant has had injury issues this year. All signs point to him being back to normal. If there's a player in the league that could go toe-to-toe with LeBron from a match-up standpoint the only two that have a chance are KD and Kawhi. (sorry, not sorry Melo) That being said, it's all LeBron here.

Advantage: Cavs

Point Guard:
Cavs - Kyrie Irving
Warriors - Steph Curry

Even though they won't directly match up all that often this should be a great finals from both Kyrie Irving and Steph Curry. Irving went from being labeled as injury prone to a top five point guard in the league. He has been improving on being off the ball every single season. Kind of something you need to do when LeBron James is on your team. He was already a good shooter, but in the regular season it was up to 40% from three. His percentage is down to around 36% in the playoffs but that shouldn't worry any Cavs fan. He outplayed Curry last year. Whether Curry was a little dinged up or not that has to count for something.
Has there ever been a reigning MVP more slept on than Steph Curry? I am very aware that the Warriors added Kevin Durant last July. But you forget just how good Curry was last year. He had a regular season for the ages. Maybe some of the comparisons were a tad short sided. Numbers don't tell the whole story in all cases. Whenever Curry took a three, no matter where he shot it from, you thought it was going in. At least I thought that way.

I can't decide who truly has an advantage. If both of them play how they should it will be incredible to watch.

Advantage: Even

Advantages for the Warriors: Shooting Guard, Power Forward, Coaching
Advantages for the Cavs: Center, Bench, Small Forward
Even: Point Guard

My Predictions that may or may not come true!

Player who Twitter will go nuts over (outside of starters): Warriors - JaVale McGee, Cavs - Kyle Korver
First player to get a technical foul: David West
Second player to get a technical foul: Matt Barnes, somehow
Number of times ABC will cut to Steve Javie:
toodamn_fullsize.jpg (600×343)

My Pick: Warriors in six.
Finals MVP: Draymond Green

Draymond makes up for the Game Five suspension in 2016 and has an amazing game six in Cleveland to keep the series from going back to Golden State.

Changes That Need To Be Made For NBA 2K18

Well, as usual, it's been awhile. Never mind that.

As you can see if you've been following me for more than a day or two. (@TheLanceMorris) I love basketball. It's been my favorite sport since I was probably 11 or 12. I also have a passion for video games. The two came together in the game NBA Live 06. Yeah, I loved that game. I played it for multiple years. It even had a pretty solid soundtrack. I didn't have another basketball game for one of my consoles until I got NBA 2K9. At the time, being that NBA Live was the only basketball video game I had played when I did upgrade from the original Xbox to the Xbox 360 the game I wanted was NBA Live 09. My parents gave me those newspaper ads that had pictures of all the games, DVDs, electronics, etc. They told me to circle what I wanted in a couple different ads that we had. I of course circled NBA Live 09 and I remember specifically writing in black sharpie, "I want NBA Live not this 2K game." I was pretty clear about it. Christmas came that Winter. From what I remember, I got NCAA Football 09 with Darren McFadden on the cover, I got a couple random games that I never really played.

I didn't get NBA Live 09.

I didn't even get NBA 2K9, yet.

My dad told me my Grandpa John. Who passed away about a month and a half ago, RIP. Had a game for me that I would get in a couple days when we had our Christmas with just him and his wife. He always got me a couple things of clothes. Usually a hoodie. A nice T-shirt or two, and from that Christmas and the last couple I had with him, a video game. I know my parents helped him with what stuff to get me and what game to get me that year, but his gifts always stood out. I look over my right shoulder as I'm typing this and I can see a few of those Nike hoodies. I wear the crap out of them. I love my Nike hoodies. Thank you, Grandpa John.

The last thing I got that Christmas from him was NBA 2K9. As any slightly ungrateful kid would say, "But I wanted NBA Live." They told me they didn't have NBA Live and that this was what they could get. I'm really glad they didn't have NBA Live. Those in the video game world know that soon after that the NBA Live series fell off a cliff. They made a NBA Live 10 game that I played and it was fun, but it wasn't NBA 2K. They've been struggling to get back in the market and they haven't even been able to put a game out every year because of how bad of reviews they were getting and how bad the game actually was too. I would've had to move on to NBA 2K after that, but I would've been even more reluctant than I was when I got NBA 2K9. After we got all our gifts and everything I quickly went down to my room (it's in the basement for those that don't know) and I started playing. I got hooked pretty quickly. The graphics were leaps and bounds better. The game play was fluid. It was a really good game. I properly thanked him next time I saw him, which was probably my birthday, and told him how much I loved the game. I've been playing the newest NBA 2K game ever since. They've had a couple really bad glitches throughout the years that come to mind. Most notably the spin dunk in one of the early games. Even with those things you had to play the game a lot to even discover the glitch. Plus doing them wasn't as easy if you were playing someone who could actually play good defense.

Nonetheless, I have plenty of experience playing the game and can go through most of its features and all of those types of things and I have some things they need to do. I won't be the first or the last to make some of these suggestions, but I do want to make my thoughts be known.

1. There needs to be some kind of draft mode.

This has to be one of the biggest thing requested about the game. There's Draft Champions in Madden. I'm pretty sure there is a draft mode in FIFA. I'm unsure about if there's one in MLB The Show since I play on Xbox One. I don't see any reason why there can't be a draft mode added. They have the park, online leagues, MyTeam, and the play now modes. People who play primarily in the park are a different breed in my eyes. They almost have their own sect in the 2K community based on everything I see on YouTube and Twitch. That's a different discussion. People will play both MyTeam and the Draft. They have some things in common. I'll get to MyTeam in a second though. There's even different ways you could go about it. You could do it how Draft Champions goes in Madden. Pick a coach and then have 10 rounds where you can pick between the three players that come up in each round. Then have three random average guys to round out the bench. Or you could even just make it to where there's 13 rounds so you can pick every player. There's so many different ways to go about it so I truly don't know why they can't make a draft mode.

2. Fix the Charging Calls

Based on the countless games I've played in this year's game this is a big in game issue. Now there are charges that are legit. Most of the time they are not. Most of the time they come around half court. If you so much as think about trying to sprint with your player when bringing the ball up the floor and there's a player from the other team within 10-15 feet of you they will find a way to run towards you and force a charge to be called. Even if the other player doesn't set his feet and take contact. It is especially annoying when you want to bring the ball up quickly and play with tempo as I usually do when playing. You can avoid the 'charge cheese' as it is often referred to if you don't sprint with the ball while dribbling up the floor, but it like I said can slow the game down and take away whatever moment you might be trying to build.

3. Rebuild MyTeam

Overall this is the most played mode by people in the 2K community, or at least by the people who play the game on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. MyTeam is the mode where you build a team up to play online and go through the Bronze, Gold, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Amethyst, Diamond and Pink Diamond Leagues. When you start a team you pick a player to build around. Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry and LeBron James were a couple players you could start with. Here's where it gets tricky. The thing that MyTeam develops on 2K will tell you is that they heavily, and I mean heavily. Rely on people spending money to open packs to improve their team. I'll talk about pack odds more later. Basically what 2K has turned MyTeam into is that you need to spend money in order to have a really good MyTeam. When you start your MyTeam you get a bunch of silver and bronze players to use along with whatever player you pick as your starter player. The problem there is that the player you pick as your starter player is a free agent card. That means after you use him in five games that cards disappears and it's gone forever. So then you're stick with a team of guys and the best player among those you still have is a 74 overall. That just isn't good. That is why people feel the need to open packs because the odds are you will pull players out of those packs that will instantly make your team better. Lots of people don't have disposable income to throw into the game that they paid $60 for. While you can grind through the game with those starter players it is incredibly challenging. You earn MT (the MyTeam currency) when you play games and do challenges, but even then you can't get a really good player unless you save your MT for a long period of time. 2K needs to give users that can't drop money on the game a reason to play the mode. You can grind on Madden and make your Ultimate Team better but you really can't do that in MyTeam. 2K also needs to add and improve the mode overall. If you are good enough to get through all of the leagues (I'm in the Diamond League right now after losing too many in the Pink Diamond League) then you're done. Once you earn all the rewards there's nothing left to play for. Granted not everybody is just flying through the different leagues but why would you want to have it to where you can complete everything? You always want to be improving the mode itself. While I like the players they've added in the different packs throughout the year that is only have the battle. Not to mention the dynamic duos that in my eyes were a big L. They added them to all the lower tiered player at the start of the year but never really added them throughout the season. Then when they did add new ones they weren't really relevant to how the mode was at that point in time. MyTeam should be the most popular mode but 2K just can't seem to put all the pieces together to make it great. Oh, and fix it to where when you beat your opponent so bad they quit early on in the game that you don't get a loss you don't deserve. That has happened to me way too many times for it to be acceptable.

4. Servers, servers, servers

No, I'm not talking about the lovely people who serve you food in a restaurant. If you've ever played a game of 2K then you know exactly what I am talking about. I won't go into too much detail here because I don't really need to. Just improve your servers. Please.

Here’s a look at how the 2K servers are being maintained! - http://nbafunnymeme.com/heres-a-look-at-how-the-2k-servers-are-being-maintained/

5. Increase pack odds for MyTeam

This can probably be said for the other games where you open packs but the pack odds on 2K are for the most part pretty bad. I have pulled four throughout the year. I didn't start playing MyTeam this year until pulling diamond was even possible and still the luck hasn't been great. For those that don't know. When you're pulling players out of the packs the level of player you can get is the same as the tiers except for Pink Diamonds. Now I'm not saying you should be able to pull multiple diamonds and amethysts every single box you open, but there has to be a way to make it to where if you can spend money on packs that you are getting what you paid for. Not the same crappy bronze and silver players you can get when starting your team.

I could probably add more things to this list to nitpick. I am usually yelling, "2K!" whenever I am losing. While I may complain about 2K I'm glad to have a pretty good basketball game to play. I hope they can keep improving and make the game better because if they keep giving the people at EA time they will make a comeback with NBA Live.

As always, thanks for reading!
